The digitised and documented material mainly includes:

• Minutes of the Meeting of the Municipal Council of the respective Communities. These are bound volumes containing discussions, votes, resolutions and minority opinions on any day-to-day issue. The subjects on the agendas are financial, administrative (regional, municipal, local), technical, recreational, cultural, historical, archaeological, environmental, sporting, voluntary, urban planning, street planning, sanitation, charity, health, social welfare, legal, etc.

• Correspondence files which consist mainly of letters and telegrams between the Mayors of the Communities of Western Lesvos and the Prefecture of Lesvos, the Chamber of Commerce, the Magistrate’s Court, the Police, Military and Forestry Authorities, the Financial Officers, Banks, etc. and various private individuals.

Other incorporated files are:

• Land registers where a general inventory of the public and private property of the communities of Western Lesvos is carried out. Usually, a geometric description and the ownership status of each parcel of land is included.

• Notices of recruitment in the public sector where the conditions and supporting documents necessary for candidates to participate are attached.

• And a multitude of files with unique content such as circulars, protocols, birth records, family files, progress sheets, etc.
